Our Story, A New Generation of Beekeepers

Kevin and Will met as kids, but it wasn’t until years later, while working in hotels, that they discovered a shared passion for personal growth, hard work, and hospitality. After reading The Miracle Morning, they began challenging each other to improve in every area of life. That mindset shaped how they approached their work, their goals, and eventually, their future.

Their time in hospitality taught them the value of high standards, intentional service, and putting people first. But over time, the desire to build something of their own started to take root. Will had been helping his grandfather, Richard “Oppie” Knighton, with yard work and tending to bees. Oppie is a Master Beekeeper with over 60 years of experience. Kevin saw the potential in turning that legacy into something greater. On their days off, the two would head to Wetumpka to learn from Oppie, absorbing every lesson and old-school method he had to offer. As their knowledge and passion grew, so did their vision for what Knighton Bee Farms could become.

Today, most of the honey sold in America is anything but American. It’s imported from overseas, blended with sugar syrups, stripped of its natural qualities, and marketed as something it’s not. We believe people deserve better.

At Knighton Bee Farms, we produce real American honey—the kind that’s carefully harvested, never adulterated, and rooted in tradition. Our goal is simple: to bring back trust, traceability, and craftsmanship to every jar. This isn’t just honey. It’s our way of honoring where we come from and building something worth passing on.

Shop the Tradition
  • Our Bees Eat Their Honey

Most beekeepers feed sugar syrup- we don’t. Our bees keep the honey they work hard to make, resulting in healthier hives and better honey.

  • Support American Beekeepers

Every purchase helps sustain small-scale, ethical American beekeeping, not global corporations watering down the industry.

  • Glass, Never Plastic

We don’t cut corners with plastic squeeze bottles. Glass protects the flavor, preserves purity, and keeps microplastics out of your honey and your body.
